Wonderful place to take a break

The food and atmosphere are excellent and provide a nice respite from the cold. The only downside is the aloof and unfriendly service. I find that the female servers are much more amicable than the male bar tenders. They literally make you feel as though you are imposing on them. I live here and ski at highlands regularly, and this is a constant and unfortunate truth. Thus, my relationship with 'Alehouse' is complicated. It's not bad enough to warrant total avoidance but not good enough to give it a five star review.

Solid base of mountain hot spot. Great place to tell strangers how good at skiing you are.

Had some work up here and stopped in Highlands Alehouse, great food, friendly staff and overall pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Worst service in aspen, a bunch of bro dude bum bartenders dropping f bombs at customers and being just plain rude whenever they feel like it. The exact opposite of hospitality here.

Laid back atmosphere. Walk up counter to order and they will bring your food to your table. Wonderful presentation and tastes delicious! The staff were also very friendly.

The service was horrible, it took forever to get the meal, once we asked for our money back they gave us our money back and our food, but the food was too bad to even eat. On top of that we got to watch the kitchen staff make frequent stops at the beer tent and a teenage server walk around acting very high with her little sister following her around. The entire experience was too disturbing to really comprehend. I was there with Ride the Rockies and they were not prepared, but instead of turning people around, they took 150+ orders they could not handle. The next morning I was not excited to see they were the caters for breakfast. Again, it took way too long to get a pre-made breakfast burrito that did not taste like much.

A day at Highlands isn't complete without a beer and some laughs at the Alehouse. Great vibe, and great beers.

Best place to grab an apres beer at Highlands. Food is good as well. Try the crispy chicken sandwich. It's a local favorite!

I just spent two weeks in Aspen and went to the Alehouse several times for lunch and aprés. I love their salmon entree. It is so fresh, light and cooked to perfection. The burgers were also incredible. The place was very busy, but the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Amazing sunny deck in Aspen! We will be back.

Good for beer and drinks

Good spicy chili but not super hot. My friends like their salads and sandwiches too. Friendly with a great beer selection. Nice view of the hills.

Lunch and apres ski bar/restaurant. Good menu. Pizza by the slice or whole pie. Full bar, good variety of draft beer. Dance party atmosphere with lowd music....no table service at apres...3.5 stars.

Great food and drink at the bottom of Highlands

Always enjoy Highlands Pizza Company for lunch during a day of skiing or dinner. Great location at the base of Aspen Highlands.

Fun spot, great food, solid beer selection, electric aprés.

Awesome food one slice is huge and fills you up for 5$ and it’s super great quality best pizza in the area. staff are very friendly and accommodating if a little slow.

I was there for a private event. It was very well run. The location was clean an be set up well. The food was delicious. We had barbeque, Mac and cheese, corn bread, and other southern dishes. They were some of the best I've ever had and I'm a GRITS. They had an amazing view as well. I'd go back.

Updated 2/27 - Staff response to my original review (1 star) was quick and caring. They offered me a gift certificate to come back and try them again. I believe that they are working on improving their quinoa bowl. I'll keep you updated when we return. (Original)I can’t believe I paid $18 for a bowl of greasy bell peppers. Avoid the quinoa bowl.

Awesome quinoa bowl and kale salad. Also try the chili lime wings. Great spot for watching sports events.

A literal ski-in/ski-out pub and pizzeria with the best food on the mountain! Great food ranging from wings to quinoa bowls, a fantastic place for truly anyone. There's a good crowd of local ski bums and vacationing families that lends it an authentic vibe. Definitely a must for anyone planning on going to Highlands

Decent food and a good place inside, but really expensive. My 3 ahi tuna tacos costed 21 dollars

We had friendly service from the bartender and a delicious meal, overall! A really relaxed environment - perfect for a summer day. We had the chicken wings and fries as a little treat after getting off the Four Pass loop, and it hit the spot! The chicken wings were super crispy and the BBQ sauce had a little kick to it (not too much). They have a great whiskey selection as well, and enjoyed chatting to the bartender about one of the more rare bottles we managed to get a pour of.The outdoor area is great, as well - the tables are covered by umbrellas and there's a little open area off to the side where you can play corn-hole, or kids/dogs can run around. Great views of the slopes, too!
